One youth is in custody after RCMP say threats were made against two schools in west-central Saskatchewan.
Mounties say they got a call about 8:30 a.m. about the threat, and exterior doors to Maidstone high and Ratushniak elementary schools were locked and the school was monitored.
The hold-and-secure was lifted at 11 a.m.
Maidstone RCMP say no charges have been laid against the male youth.
They say the investigation continues and no further details will be released.
Terry Craig, superintendent of schools for the Northwest School Division, says a threat was made against a school and some students in Maidstone, about 220 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
"Right now everybody is safe, everyone's secure," Craig said. "The RCMP are doing their investigation and they've apprehended the suspect."
