Police in Moose Jaw, Sask., say a man who escaped custody from provincial court in the city has been recaptured.

Jamie Munroe, 20, was apprehended Tuesday evening following a foot chase in a closed-off area in the downtown.

He will appear in court Wednesday facing a number of different charges.

Police allege Munroe escaped by overpowering a guard and assaulting a commissionaire in his cell.

He had been in court on charges stemming from a head-on crash over the weekend.
