RCMP say they have recaptured a man who escaped from custody during a court hearing in northwestern Saskatchewan.
Michael Montgrand, who is 26, ran away on Wednesday from the provincial courthouse in the community of Turnor Lake.
Mounties had warned that Montgrand was dangerous and advised people to stay away from him.
Police say he was arrested on Wednesday night after escaping from lawful custody and thanked the public for helping officers find him.
The Saskatchewan Justice Ministry is looking into the high number of escapes from jails this year.
So far, there have been eight escapes from secure youth custody and five from adult jails.
