A 25-year-old man is facing several new charges in a police chase in Saskatoon.
Timothy Gunn is accused of being the man behind the wheel of a stolen truck that left a trail of destruction in a nearly hour-long police chase on June 25.
Gunn was already facing seven charges related to the incident, which damaged four police cruisers and three civilian vehicles.
At one point, a plainclothes police officer fired eight shots at the driver of the truck after he allegedly tried to run him down.
In court Wednesday, prosecutors added eight new charges, including two charges of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, for injuries to civilians when the stolen truck rammed into their vehicles.
Gunn was also charged with wearing a disguise while committing an offence and five counts of failing to stop.
He is to undergo a three-day psychiatric before his next court date on July 18.
