Two men were taken to hospital after the pickup they were in broke through ice on a lake northeast of Regina.

The truck became partially submerged after it fell into Buffalo Pound Lake.

Police say the men were able to get out of the truck.

Moose Jaw RCMP were called to the lake around 7 p.m.

The men were treated and released from hospital.

RCMP are reminding people that ice thickness is not consistent and people should exercise caution before going on unknown ice conditions in their vehicles.
