A police investigation into alleged misconduct by a Saskatoon city councillor does not recommend any charges.

The Regina Police Service says in a release that there would be no "reasonable likelihood" of conviction against Pat Lorje (LOHR'-yay) under the Cities Act.

The service was asked to investigate last fall after Lorje breached council's code of conduct.

She emailed a confidential city report to a member of the public.

City councillors and the mayor voted in favour of imposing sanctions on the longtime councillor.

The sanctions limit her access to confidential in-camera documents, which she can only review inside the city clerk' s office at city hall.
