RCMP are looking for an inmate at a minimum-security federal facility who escaped during an escorted temporary absence in North Battleford, Sask.

The Correctional Service of Canada says Allan Roderick Wright is a prisoner at the Willow Cree Healing Lodge in Duck Lake, Sask.

According to a news release, correctional workers immediately notified RCMP in North Battleford, who issued a warrant for Wright's arrest.

The 35-year-old is described as six-foot-two, 265 pounds, with a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair.

He is serving a sentence of three years, five months for assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement and break and enter.
