RCMP have recovered and identified the remains of a boy and a woman who died in a house fire on a Saskatchewan reserve.

Four people were trapped inside the burning home on Ahtahkakoop (attack-ah-koop) First Nation earlier this week.

Two men managed to escape but two others couldn't get out.

Dead are 61-year-old Donna Kay and 10-year-old Teegan Ahenakew.

The reserve is located near Shell Lake, about 170 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
