A rural municipality in central Saskatchewan has declared a state of emergency due to flooding.
The rural municipality of St. Louis, south of Prince Albert, made the declaration on Thursday after flooding around Chicot Lake began to overtake roads.
The RM says flooding has occurred mostly on the west side and has covered roads "essential for emergency service vehicles" as well as "agricultural and non-arable land."
It comes a little more than a week after the province's Water Security Agency cautiously stated that spring runoff was receding across the province.
The RM is north of Wakaw and south of Prince Albert.
