Police have found a missing Saskatchewan man who was said to have been distraught and carrying a handgun when he disappeared.

Mounties say Preston Croswell, who is 36, was picked up without incident by Melfort RCMP officers.

Police had said Monday that Croswell was upset when he left his home northwest of Weldon on the weekend.

They did not believe he posed a direct threat, but advised he not be approached if seen.
