A Saskatchewan woman whose legs had to be amputated after she was viciously assaulted and burned says her mobility scooter has been stolen.
Marlene Bird, who lives in Timber Bay in northern Saskatchewan, says the scooter was taken along with other items from the home last month.
Bird was homeless in Prince Albert when she was attacked in 2014.
Leslie Ivan Black has pleaded guilty to attempted murder and a judge will announce on Aug. 30 whether Black will be declared a dangerous offender.
Bird says without her scooter, she feels lonesome and less independent.
She says she filed a police report and adds officers came to her house the same day to take photos.
