A man charged with second-degree murder in a Saskatoon homicide earlier this year is now facing the more serious count of first-degree murder.
Anthony Quattrocchi, a 30-year-old Saskatoon resident, was arrested soon after the death of Benjamin Green.
The 38-year-old man was found dead June 26 at a home on the city's west side.
Police say an ongoing investigation led to the charge being upgraded.
Quattrocchi is also facing one count of offering an indignity to human remains, while another 30-year-old Saskatoon man arrested last week is charged with unlawful confinement.
Quattrocchi remains in custody and will appear in court on Thursday.
