The driver behind the wheel of a semi-tractor trailer involved in a construction zone crash northeast of Saskatoon is facing charges.

Two people were hurt in the multi-vehicle crash near Blaine Lake in June, but their injuries were not serious.

Two trucks and a Jeep were stopped in the construction zone when the semi hit them from behind.

It was the second crash in a construction zone in little more than a month.

In May, three teenage boys were killed and a flag person seriously injured near Spalding when a semi rear-ended a car and set off a chain reaction.

The driver in the Blaine Lake crash is charged with dangerous driving, driving without due care and attention and driving exceeding 60 kilometres an hour while passing highway workers.

John Woloshyniuk, who is 49 and from Sherwood Park, Alta., is to appear in Blaine Lake provincial court on Sept. 3.
