A fan hit by a foul ball at Fenway Park has been treated and released from a Boston hospital.

An unidentified woman was hit by a foul ball in the fifth inning of Friday night's New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox game. After being briefly treated, she got up and walked through the stands holding a towel to her head.

Red Sox spokesman Jon Shestakofsky says the fan never lost consciousness and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

On Saturday, a hospital spokesman says she was treated and released.

Another woman was hospitalized for several days after being hit in the face by a broken bat in a game at Fenway Park last month.
