Ashleyluvssugar rallied to win the $200,000 Charles Whittingham Stakes for 3-year-olds by a half-length Sunday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Hall of Famer Gary Stevens, Ashleyluvssugar ran 1 1/2 miles on turf in 2:30.10 and paid $3, $2.20 and $2.10 as the 1-2 favourite.
Brazil-bred Ganesh returned $3.20 and $2.60, while Going Somewhere was another half-length back in third and paid $3 to show in his U.S. debut.
The victory, worth $120,000, increased Ashleyluvssugar's career earnings to $455,504, with six wins in 11 starts.
