Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the toss and elected to bowl first against Zimbabwe in the first Twenty20 on Friday.
Bangladesh swept Zimbabwe in the one-day international series, and was trying to find out its right combination for next year's Asia Cup and World Twenty20 in this series.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, looked to restore some pride.
Opener Anamul Haque and legspinner Juabir Hossain were back after missing the ODI series. They replaced Imrul Kayes and Arafat Sunny respectively.
Zimbabwe also made two changes, bringing in left-arm spinner Tendai Chisoro and fast bowler Neville Madziva in place of Chamu Chibhabha and Taurai Muzurabani.
