Barcelona says it has reached an agreement with Brazil midfielder Rafinha to extend his contract through the end of the 2019-20 season.
Rafinha's current contract was set to expire at the end of this season.
Rafinha is currently recovering from surgery to repair right-knee ligaments that he tore in a Champions League match at Roma in September. He was ruled out for at least six months.
The European champions say that Rafinha's buyout clause will be 75 million euros ($83 million).
