Anthony Beane scored 20 points to lead Southern Illinois to an 81-51 win over Florida A&M on Sunday.

Armon Fletcher added 11 points, while Bola Olaniyan and Sean O'Brien had 10 apiece for Southern Illinois (2-0). The Salukis hit 29 of 60 from the floor, and had 18 assists in the first-ever meeting between the programs. Olaniyan also had 12 rebounds to give the Salukis a 43-33 advantage at the glass.

Beane, who was 8 of 16 from the floor, hit a bucket midway through the first half that gave Southern Illinois a 25-14 lead and a double-digit margin that wouldn't be threatened the rest of the way.

Florida A&M (1-1) was held to 30 per cent shooting from the field (16 of 53) and committed 24 turnovers.

Francois Lewis led the Rattlers with 15 points and Malcolm Bernard added 13.
