Coach Rex Ryan expects Bills running back LeSean McCoy to be ready to play in the season opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Ryan updated McCoy's status before practice on Wednesday by saying: "Yeah, he'll be ready." Ryan added that McCoy is now a full participant in practice three weeks since straining his left hamstring.
McCoy's playing status had been in question as recently as last week, when the seventh-year player said he was optimistic but not entirely sure if he could play.
McCoy was Buffalo's key off-season addition and is being counted upon to be the centerpiece of the team's newly installed ground-oriented attack. The Bills acquired the NFL's 2013 yards-rushing leader in a trade with Philadelphia.
