The Buffalo Bills have signed two free agents, linebacker Quentin Groves and running back Samuel Seale, to shore up injury-depleted positions.

The team also announced Tuesday that linebacker Ty Powell and defensive end Jarius Wynn were placed on season-ending injured reserve. Powell hurt his right knee in practice Monday. Wynn hurt his knee in a preseason-opening 25-24 loss to Carolina on Friday.

Groves is a seven-year journeyman who played for Tennessee last season. He has 32 starts in 100 career games and also played for Jacksonville, Oakland, Arizona and Cleveland. Seale is an undrafted rookie free agent out of Stanford.

On Monday, rookie running back Karlos Williams was taken to the hospital for an undisclosed reason. Running backs Fred Jackson, Bryce Brown and Boobie Dixon are sidelined because of injuries.
