Pat Birt made seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points — both career highs — to lead Tulsa to an 81-67 victory over Tulane on Sunday.

Birt was 7 of 10 from the arc, James Woodard hit 5 of 6 from 3-point range, and Tulsa made a season-high 13. Woodard finished 21 points.

The Golden Hurricane (10-6, 2-2 American) shot 67 per cent in the first half when it took a 45-39 lead and finished at 58.8 per cent.

Dylan Osetkowski had 18 points and 14 rebounds for his sixth double-double this season for Tulane (7-10, 0-4). The Green Wave shot 55 per cent in the first half but just 25 per cent in the second. They made only 4 of 27 from beyond the arc, including 1 of 16 in the second half. Tulane had a 45-22 rebounding edge.

Treys by Woodard and Birt put Tulsa up 55-42 with 16:50 left and the lead remained in double figures.
