The Toronto Blue Jays recalled right-handed pitcher Scott Copeland on Tuesday, and designated right-handed pitcher Todd Redmond.

Redmond was a spot starter in the Jays' 10-6 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday after being called up a day earlier from triple-A Buffalo. He allowed four hits, three earned runs and a walk while striking out three over four innings.

His earned-run average fell to 11.88 from 16.62.

The moves come as the Jays were set to host the Angels in Day 12 of a stretch of 20 games in 20 days.
