Brendan Leipsic scored the winner 1:22 into overtime as the Toronto Marlies beat the visiting Syracuse Crunch 5-4 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Mark Arcobello had a pair of goals and an assist to lead the Marlies (32-8-2) while Zach Hyman and Viktor Loov added the others. Defenceman T.J. Brennan tacked on an assist to take over the AHL scoring lead. He has 15 goals and 39 points in 41 games to lead all AHL skaters.

Mike Blunden, Cameron Darcy, Tanner Richard and Anthony DeAngelo found the back of the net for the Crunch (18-15-8), who played without Jonathan Drouin after the 20-year-old forward was suspended by the Tampa Bay Lightning organization for failing to show up to the Ricoh Coliseum after taking part in Syracuse's morning skate.

Toronto's Antoine Bibeau made 33 saves for the win as Kristers Gudlevskis turned aside 39-of-44 shots for Syracuse.

The Marlies went 0 for 1 on the power play while the Crunch scored on their only chance with the man advantage.
