Taylor Beck, Jared Gomes, James Wright and Bracken Kearns also had goals in the third for the Sound Tigers (2-0-0). Mike Halmo opened the scoring in the first period.
Angelo Miceli evened the game at 1-1 with a goal in the second for St. John's (1-1-0).
Stephon Williams made 33 saves to pick up the win in goal for the New York Islanders farm club. He also stopped IceCaps forward Charles Hudon on a penalty shot in the second period.
Dustin Tokarski turned aside 23 shots for the Montreal Canadiens affiliate.
Bridgeport was scoreless on five power-play opportunities while St. John's went 0 for 4.
