Jared Brownridge scored a step-back 3-pointer from the left corner with 1.3 seconds left that gave Santa Clara a 62-60 win over Pepperdine on Thursday night.
The Broncos inbounded to Brownridge from under their own basket with 9.0 seconds left. He missed his other four 3-point attempts and finished with 12 points.
Santa Clara (7-12, 3-4 West Coast Conference) gave away a 57-47 lead in the final 8:12. The Waves (10-7, 3-3) scored 11 straight and traded the lead once with Stacy Davis making it 60-59 with 3:19 to go.
Santa Clara took possession with 27 seconds after Pepperdine's Jett Raines missed a 3. Pepperdine committed two non-shooting fouls before the final play.
Nate Kratch had 15 points, KJ Feagin scored 14 and Henrik Jadersten added 10 for the Broncos.
Lamond Murray Jr. and Raines had 14 points each for Pepperdine. Jeremy Major added 11.
