Andrew Suniula, Mike Petri and Cam Dolan had late tries as the United States beat Canada 41-23 in exhibition rugby play on Saturday.

Taylor Paris, Nick Blevins and Aaron Carpenter scored tries for the Canadians.

"We let ourselves down with the little details," said Carpenter. "We put a lot of pressure on them inside their 22 but we couldn't get the job today and left too many points out there."

Referee Stuart Berry gave Canada's Phil Mack a penalty for allegedly stamping in the 66th minute. Suniula, Petri and Dolan proceeded to capitalize for the U.S.

Canada jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Greg Paterson replied in the 28th minute. AJ MacGinty added the conversion.

The Americans held a 17-6 lead at halftime.

Blevins gave the Canadians some life in the 58th minute, powering through a tackle to score his third try in as many games.
