NASCAR driver Carl Edwards says "there's no reason to even speculate" on the situation involving suspended Subway pitchman Jared Fogle until facts are gathered.

Edwards has been a longtime promoter of the sandwich chain that sponsors his No. 19 Toyota Camry. He also has appeared in Subway ads with Fogle, who became famous for losing 245 pounds by eating its sandwiches.

The ex-director of a foundation Fogle created to fight childhood obesity was arrested in May on child pornography charges. Authorities raided Fogle's suburban Indianapolis home on Tuesday, but he hasn't been charged with any crime and his attorney says he is co-operating with authorities.

Edwards said Wednesday at Kentucky Speedway that "out of respect for Jared and the judicial process, I think it's really important to wait until there's some facts."
