Quarterback Joel Houle found Louis Brouilette for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to lift the McGill Redmen to a 10-3 win over the Bishop's Gaiters in CIS football action on Friday.

It was the first time McGill (1-0) had won its season opener in 15 years.

Houle threw the 33-yard strike to Brouilette 4:26 into the final quarter and Justin Lavalee kicked the extra point to break a 3-3 tie.

Houle completed 18-of-38 for 212 yards with one TD and one interception. Brouilette was his top receiver with 100 yards on seven catches.

Travis Eman was 14 of 29 for 160 yards for Bishop's (0-1). Vincent Dube kicked a 32-yard field goal for the Gaiters' only points.
