Maxime Comtois scored twice and Mikael Recine turned aside 25 shots as the Grenadiers de Chateauguay beat the Newbridge Academy Gladiators 5-2 on Wednesday in round robin play at the Telus Cup.

Adam Pilotte, Nicolas Desgroseilliers and Jacob Lapierre added the others for the Grenadiers (2-1) at the Canadian national men's midget hockey championship.

Alexander Allain and Dylan Burton had goals for Newbridge Academy (0-3). Matthew Williams made 44 saves in the loss.

REGINA PAT CANADIANS 4 STRATHMORE BISONS 2

Owen Sillinger had a goal and two assists as Regina remained undefeated by doubling the Bisons.

Jake Tesarowski, Arthur Miller and Conner Chaulk also scored for the Pat Canadians (3-0). Curtis Meger kicked out 24 shots.

Austin Wong and Barrett Sheen found the back of the net for Strathmore (1-2). Kurtis Chapman turned away 28-of-32 shots in 50:59 while Cody Campbell stopped both shots he faced for the Bisons.

TORONTO YOUNG NATIONALS 3 ALBATROS DU COLLEGE NOTRE-DAME 2

James Guest struck twice as the Young Nationals edged College Notre Dame.

Ryan Bonsteel added the other goal for Toronto (2-1), while Dalton Ewing made 28 saves.

Francis Stachtchenko and Raphael Santerre supplied the offence for the Albatros (1-2). Tristan Berube turned aside 28 shots.
