Robert Hatter scored 14 points on 5 of 12 shooting and added six assists to help lead Cornell to a 76-47 win over Penn State-Harrisburg on Monday night.
Matt Morgan finished with 12 points and Darryl Smith had 10 for the Big Red (3-2), who have won three out of four after a season opening loss to Georgia Tech.
Cornell shot 49.1% from the field and won the rebounding battle by 10 (47-37). Defensively, the Big Red held the Lions to just 29.9% per cent shooting while forcing 19 Harrisburg turnovers.
Cornell used a 17-5 run, capped off by a Smith three-pointer, midway through the first have to build a 36-25 lead at halftime. The Big Red pushed the lead to 20 on a David Onruorah layup with 12:45 left, and it did not dip below that mark the rest of the night.
Jourdon Wilson scored 11 for the Lions.
