Jeantal Cylla scored 14 of his 22 points in the second half to help Florida Atlantic pull away and beat Texas-San Antonio 86-71 on Saturday.

Adonis Filer had 16 points and Jackson Trapp added 14 for the Owls (5-15, 3-4 Conference USA), who have won three of their last four games since snapping a nine-game losing skid.

Christian Wilson scored a career-high 28 points and had five assists for Texas-San Antonio (4-16, 2-5).

The Owls had a 10-point lead early in the second half. J.R. Harris scored four points during a 10-4 spurt to pull the Roadrunners to 55-51 with eleven minutes remaining. Florida Atlantic answered with a 17-6 surge and led 72-57 with seven minutes left, and the Owls had a double-digit lead the rest of the way. Cylla made two 3-pointers and scored eight points during the stretch.
