Dane Pineau scored 17 points on Saturday night and Saint Mary's beat San Diego 79-46 for the Gaels' seventh straight win.
Stefan Gonzalez had 12 points, Calvin Hermanson and Jock Landale added 11 each for Saint Mary's (13-1, 4-0 West Coast Conference).
The Gaels entered the game as the nation's top overall field-goal shooting team at 54.0 per cent and tied for second in 3-point shooting at 45.0 per cent. And they improved both by going 32 of 55 from the field (58.2 per cent) and 9 of 13 from 3-point range (69.2 per cent).
Saint Mary's led 34-21 at halftime and 65-33 with 8:20 left. The Gaels outrebounded San Diego 18-9 in the second half and 35-21 overall.
Brett Bailey led San Diego (5-8, 0-2) with 12 points and seven rebounds. Duda Sanadze added 11 points.
