DeSean Murray scored 25 points and Presbyterian beat NAIA-member Montreat College 93-69 on Monday night.
Murray was 11-of-14 shooting as Presbyterian (4-5) shot an even 50 per cent from the floor. Reggie Dillard scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting and Markus Terry added 10 points and five assists.
Montreat College was paced by Alonzo Mobley with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Amir Davis added 11 points.
Presbyterian scored the first six points of the game, but Montreat made it a one-point game on Mobley's 3-pointer with 5:43 in the first half.
The Blue Hose went on a 7-0 spurt and led by six, 38-32 at intermission. Then, a 13-0 run at the start of the second half gave Presbyterian a 19-point cushion and it never looked back.
