Emmett Naar had 15 points and five assists to help Saint Mary's beat UC Irvine 70-60 on Sunday night for their sixth straight victory.

Saint Mary's started the second half on a 10-1 run, capped by Kyle Clark's 3-pointer. Dane Pineau made consecutive 3s for a 58-43 lead.

Pineau finished with 14 points for Saint Mary's (6-0), which made 9 of 17 3-pointers. Clark and Joe Rahon each had 10 points. Clark made three 3-pointers and Rahon had nine assists.

Aaron Wright paced UC Irvine (6-3) with 14 points. Mamadou Ndiaye had 12 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, and Luke Nelson added 10 points.

Saint Mary's shot 62.5 per cent in the first half and held a 34-31 lead. Seven of UC Irvine's 11 first-half field goals were from 3-point range. The Anteaters finished 9 of 24 from distance.
