Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn says rookie Tevin Coleman will open the season as the starting running back.

Coleman will start over Devonta Freeman, who missed all four preseason games with a hamstring injury but is expected to play in Monday night's opener against Philadelphia. Coleman returned from a hamstring injury to play the final two games.

The team's first regular-season depth chart also lists newly acquired veteran Andy Levitre as the starting left guard and Mike Person as the starting centre. Chris Chester is the right guard.

More changes could be coming as Quinn confirmed veteran free-agent tackle Jake Long is expected to have his second workout with the team later this week.

The Falcons signed running back Jahwan Edwards to the practice squad on Tuesday.
