Chris Flemmings scored 25 points, his third 20-plus game in a row, and North Carolina-Wilmington defeated College of Charleston 65-55 Saturday night for its seventh-straight win.

Denzel Ingram scored 13 points for the Seahawks and C.J. Bryce added 10. Next up for N.C.-Wilmington (16-5, 8-2 Colonial Athletic Association) is a first-place showdown Thursday at Hofstra, also 8-2 in the CAA.

Craig Pounder broke an 18-18 tie as the Seahawks sped away to a 37-26 lead over the last eight minutes of the first half.

After halftime, Charleston (13-8, 5-5) came as close as 43-39 when Cameron Johnson hit a 3 with 12:10 left. N.C.-Wilmington broke away on a 14-4 run with Flemmings adding a basket and a 3-point play on consecutive possessions. He finished three-points shy of his career-best of 28, set earlier in January.

Marquise Pointer led the Cougars with 17 points and Jarrell Brantley added 15.
