Eric Garcia scored 16 points, including a career-high tying four 3-pointers, with seven assists to help Wofford beat NAIA Tennessee Wesleyan 89-66 Tuesday night.

Fletcher Magee and Spencer Collins added 15 points apiece, and Ryan Sawvell scored 11 with seven rebounds for Wofford.

Sawvell made 5 of 7 field goals and Garcia hit 5 of 6 as the Terriers (8-11) shot 54.8 per cent, including a season-high matching 13 3s on 23 attempts. Magee made 4 of 6 from behind the arc.

Trey Suttles scored 21 of his season-high 36 points in the first 13-plus minutes and his layup with 6:17 left in the first half gave Tennessee Wesleyan a 32-30 lead.

Wofford closed the half on a 14-5 run to take a seven-point advantage into the break.

Magee hit three 3-pointers during a 12-2 spurt that pushed the lead to 64-44 with 12:29 left. Tennessee Wesleyan trailed by at least 15 thereon.
