Gavin Block scored 19 points off the bench to lead five players in double figures as Ohio beat Norfolk State 93-71 on Saturday night.

Treg Setty had 16 points, Kenny Kaminski and Antonio Campbell had 13 apiece and Jaaron Simmons added 11 for the Bobcats (3-1). The team did it with balanced shooting, averaging 50.0 per cent from the field, 79.3 per cent from the line and 53.8 from beyond the arc.

Setty scored 10 points as part of an 18-8 run that gave Ohio a 35-23 lead late in the first half and the Bobcats were up 47-27 at the break.

Norfolk State closed the gap to five, 57-52, midway through the second half but 3-pointers by Block, Setty and Kaminski extended the Bobcats lead again and they cruised to the win.

D'Shon Taylor led the Spartans with 24 points and seven rebounds.
