Germany defender Antonio Ruediger is leaving Bundesliga club Stuttgart to join Roma in Italy's Serie A.
Stuttgart says Ruediger is going to Italy on a season-long loan. Roma has an option to buy out his contract but Stuttgart did not give financial details.
The 22-year-old defender had a right-knee meniscus operation in July and is still recovering. He has played six matches for Germany.
