Terry Harris Jr. had his fourth straight double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in Monday night's 92-75 win over Division II Chestnut Hill.
Christian Kessee scored 17 points, including 3 of 5 3-pointers, for the Eagles (2-2), and Keith Shivers and James Sylvester added 13 each.
Coppin State forced 24 turnovers and made 27 of 36 from the free throw line.
Chestnut Hill opened with a 7-0 run, but Shivers tied it at 7 with a 3-point play and the Eagles pulled to a 46-40 halftime lead, with Shivers and Kessee scoring 12 in the half and Sylvester 10.
Coppin State continued to pull away in the second half and led 61-49 amid an 11-0 run with 11:39 left. Josh Treadwell hit a 3 for a 66-49 lead and the Eagles were ahead by 19 with 5:47 to go.
Luke Dickson led Chestnut Hill with 15 points and Gerald Evariste added 14.
