Derrick Henry scored 18 points and Warren Sledge added 17, including five 3-pointers, to help The Citadel beat Georgia Southern 95-90 in the Palmetto State Shootout on Wednesday night.

Henry made 4 of 6 from 3-point range.

Quinton Marshall had 13 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Quayson Williams scored 11 and P.J. Boutte finished with 10 points and 10 assists for The Citadel (3-1).

Georgia Southern (1-3) made just 28 of 67 (42 per cent) field goals, while the Bulldogs shot 51 per cent from the field, but grabbed 21 offensive rebounds and scored 23 second-chance points.

The Citadel, which had gone nearly two calendar years since scoring at least 90 point in a single game before a 94-93 win over Stetson Nov. 17, is averaging 100 points in its last four games.

Freshman Tookie Brown led Georgia Southern with a season-high 26 points and added five assists.
