Honey Lake rallied to win the $85,500 CTT and TOC Handicap for older fillies and mares by three-quarters of a length Friday at Del Mar.
Riding his third winner on the card, Rafael Bejarano guided Honey Lake over 1 3/8 miles on turf in 2:16.62. She paid $17.80, $8 and $5.40 at 7-1 odds.
Dido, the 5-2 favourite who shipped in from New York, returned $4.80 and $3. Star Act was another head back in third and paid $3.80 to show.
The victory, worth $50,700, increased Honey Lake's career earnings to $263,658, with five wins in 23 starts. She shipped in from Chicago.
Bejarano leads the jockeys' standings with 28 winners, eight ahead of second-place Tyler Baze. Bejarano is seeking his fourth consecutive riding title at the seaside track north of San Diego.
