India opener Murali Vijay has been fined 30 per cent of his match fee for showing dissent at an umpiring decision in the ongoing fourth and final test against South Africa.

Vijay was controversially given out after being caught behind off pace bowler Morne Morkel on Saturday. The batsman gestured to the umpire that the ball had hit his arm guard and was clearly unhappy at his dismissal.

Vijay, who has scored 210 runs in an overall low-scoring series, was charged with a level one offence of the ICC code of conduct.
