It's time for Round 2 of River Plate vs. Boca Juniors, a bitter Buenos Aires rivalry that will be played out on Thursday at River's Monumental Stadium in the Copa Libertadores.
Boca defeated River 2-0 in a league game at Boca's La Bombonera stadium on Sunday to take sole leadership in the standings and leave its rival three points behind.
Thursday's match is the first leg of the Copa's round of 16. They meet again at La Bombonera on May 14 in the second leg with the winner advancing to the quarterfinals of Latin America's most important club competition.
River coach Marcelo Gallardo says "It was painful to lose, it was rough, but the real deal starts Thursday. It's a chance to redeem ourselves."
