Eli Jenkins only played the first half Saturday to help Jacksonville State score all its points, and the defence set a school record for yards allowed in a 27-7 win over Austin Peay.

Jacksonville State (6-1, 4-0 Ohio Valley Conference) allowed 82 yards to break the program record it set last season against Chattanooga (111).

Jenkins was 18 of 26 for 189 yards and scored on a 1-yard keeper in the last minute of the first half to make it 27-0. He surpassed 6,000 yards of total offence (6,032) and moved 234 behind Reggie Stancil for third place on the Gamecocks' all-time list.

Troymaine Pope and Miles Jones added first-half TD runs, and Connor Rouleau kicked a pair of field goals. Jacksonville State has won five straight since a 27-20 OT loss at then-No. 6 Auburn on Sept. 12.

The Governors (0-8, 0-5) extended their overall losing streak to 13.
