Jacobi Green ran for 186 yards with two touchdowns and Richmond held off Albany 38-31 on Saturday.
Kyle Lauletta was 20 of 33 for 293 yards and two scores.
Albany (2-6, 1-4 Colonial) trailed by 28 midway through the third, but made a game of it. Dione Alston's 96-yard kickoff return TD provided a spark, and then Neven Sussman found Anthony Manzo-Lewis from 14 yards out to get within two scores. In the fourth, a short punt set up Sussman's 4-yard score to make it 38-31.
But Peter Yoder missed a 26-yard try with 4:14 left and the Great Danes ran out of time on their last possession.
Richmond (7-1, 5-0) ran up a 17-0 score in the first quarter on Lauletta's 15-yard run and 40-yard pass to Brian Brown. Green's 1-yard plunge put the Spiders up 24-10 at halftime.
Green made it 31-10 with a 3-yard touchdown run, and next series Lauletta found Reggie Diggs from 13 yards.
