Cameron Jones scored a career-high 35 points on 12-of-19 shooting to lead Radford past Campbell 78-66 Wednesday night.

Jones made 6 for 9 from 3-point range and connected on 5 3s in the first half to give Radford (11-9, 4-4 Big South) a 40-25 halftime lead in a game it never trailed.

Campbell's D.J. Mason hit a jumper with 14:28 before halftime to cut an early eight-point deficit to 14-11. But Jones and Ed Polite Jr. scored 19 of the Highlanders' next 26 points before the break.

Radford used a 13-4 burst in less than four minutes, capped by Brandon Holcomb's dunk and two free throws from Jones, for a 53-29 lead.

Chris Clemons made a 3 with 6:14 remaining to bring Campbell (8-11, 2-7) within 63-57 before Jones' layup and 3-pointer closed the door on any comeback attempt.

Clemons finished with 25 points while Mason had eight rebounds.
