King of Jazz won the $53,000 feature race by 1 1/4 lengths Friday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Fernando Perez, King of Jazz ran 1 1/4 miles on the turf course in 1:59.91 and paid $7.40, $3.60 and $2.60 as the 5-2 second choice.
Unusually Green returned $2.80 and $2.40 as the 6-5 favourite. Nahem was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $4.20 to show.
The victory, worth $31,800, increased King of Jazz's career earnings to $100,960, with two wins in eight starts.
