Kendall Knorr scored a career-high 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting with four 3-pointers and Navy beat University of Maryland-Baltimore County 75-54 on Wednesday night to win its third straight.

Will Kelly made 7 of 12 field goals for 14 points, Tilman Dunbar added 13, and the Midshipmen made 7 of 13 from long distance and outshot the Retrievers 57 per cent to 34 per cent from the floor.

Knorr made a layup and his career-high-tying fourth 3-pointer amid an 11-3 run and Navy led 48-27 early in the second half and finished on a 7-2 run.

Navy opened with a 19-7 run in which Knorr scored two 3-pointers and never trailed. UMBC pulled within 32-22 on a 9-2 run in which Joe Sherburne scored five points.

Sherburne led UMBC (1-5) with 14 points and five rebounds and Rodney Elliot added 11.
