The 82nd-ranked Jaziri needed 1 hour, 53 minutes to clinch the win and secure a spot in the round of 16 of the ATP 250 hard-court tournament.
In other first-round matches on Tuesday, qualifier Marcelo Demoliner of Brazil defeated Illya Marchenko of Ukraine 6-3, 7-5, while Tatsuma Ito of Japan came back to beat qualifier Matthew Ebden of Australia, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Top-seeded Ivo Karlovic of Croatia and second-seeded Bernard Tomic of Australia will debut on Wednesday.
